Derelict Hepworth’s
When I moved to Sheffield around 30 years ago, Hepworth’s was still a working factory, making refractory bricks. It was fascinating walking through and seeing the place in action. Sadly this closed quite a few years ago. ‘Human made’ and nature compete here……not sure who is winning! I love walking around here and other old factories, often situated in the edgelands of Sheffield. These areas have inspired me to create my EDGELAND WORK, and these images in particular provide focus for my Hepworth’s vessel.
