The preternatural is that which appears outside or beside the natural. It is "suspended between the mundane and the miraculous"
This aesthetic of this series originated with no explicit forethought. Using a basic mesh vessel form as a ‘canvas’, I intuitively applied the pigmented silicone. More conscious decisions were made with the final finish of the pieces - oxidising the copper and applied gold leaf.
