This piece began its life as a wearable experiment. The creating process feels visceral, akin to squeezing organic energy into an inert and lifeless form. Physically I have worked with pigmented silicone, which are forced into woven mesh and coiled wire frameworks. When set the silicone is slightly flexible and silky to touch. My hope is that when wearing one of these neckpieces, a subtle spark of this ‘living’ energy will shift and is make itself known to the wearer.
I feel we have to embrace our humanity, the fact we are all different, yet the same. We need to be more curious about others as individuals and enjoy the rich medley of life.

Each piece starts life as an experiment. The creating process feels visceral, akin to squeezing organic energy into an inert and lifeless form.
Physically I work with liquid industrial enamels and pigmented silicone, which are forced into woven mesh and/or coiled wire frameworks. The enamel fires hard, while the silicone is slightly flexible and silky to touch.
My hope is that when wearing one of the neckpieces, a subtle spark of this 'living' energy will shift and is make itself known to the wearer.
